Scott&Jae Gallery of Beverly Hills is pleased to present Timeless. The artist Soo Young Seo has a unique ability to weave new stories into her works, each time building from the previous work. This brave outlook that Ms Seo has can be compared to continuously striving to write new chapters of her own autobiography.Using Korean paper as her basic material, Ms Seo has gone from painting traditional portraits, to portraits of queens - also shifting from utilizing ordinary paints and pigments to using gold foil. After this chapter, Su Young Seo has shifted her style once more by adopting the theme of moon jars and flowers in her works. Recreating her own stories through self examination shows Ms Seo’s willingness to explore new directions, always building from one level to another in a passionate way. Now in her 50’s, Ms Seo is confident to express her life experiences she has encountered so far and this transformational exhibition can act as a bridge to show these developments from South Korea to the outside world. Scott and Jae Gallery of Beverly Hills in Los Angeles is helping Korean artists show their works abroad. Having already shown her talents and abilities in South Korea, Ms Seo can be a role model for others who desire these important opportunities overseas.

She is the author of the book The Story of Gold in Painting and was awarded a PhD in Fine Art from Dongduk Women’s University. Her works are part of the collections of museums and galleries around the world.
